Hiccups
Sorry, the Chemical Identifier Resolver currently might suffer hiccups from time to time, i.e. might react slowly or with an error message – we are working on a larger update of the service. I hope it will be finished tonight.

Hi Markus, I hope you get it fixed. Your service is very nice.
Thanks, Elliot. And no concern, everything should be fine by now. However, if you see things broken that have been working before, please tell me.
I don’t know, but to me, everything looks a bit broken.
Just looking at this one, I get tinypic.com/r/17d84y/4 from http://cactvs.nci.nih.gov/blog/
It looks like a bug to me:
1. Deformed size
2. Background color a bit curious, blue / yellow whatever
3. Sometimes right size, sometimes not
Here is another screendump from the adress http://cactus.nci.nih.gov/chemical/structure
http://i35.tinypic.com/2yxpslf.jpg, showing ethanol, but with some strange text on the top and bottom.
It wasnt like this before the 22nd of September.
Hope you can fix it!
I hope the psychedelic moments of my service are gone by now – that was a stupid mistake by me: if somebody used other parameters for the image generation than the default parameters, the new parameters got the default parameters for everybody. Since our web server runs several Apache instances each of these collected another set of “standard” parameters. Things like never happens on your development web server first
.
Thanks for your report, Elliot – believe me I was sweating for a while.
